Indira S. Lanig MD

Indira S. Lanig, MD is a physician subspecialized in Neurotrauma and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. Her focused interest is at the intersection of health access inequity for adults with acquired physical disabilities and physician leadership in patient advocacy. She has practiced in both the academic and private sectors. While a member of The Baylor College of Medicine faculty she served as Chief of the Spinal Cord Injury Service at The Veterans Administration Medical Center in Houston, Texas. That tenure was followed by 21 years at Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and subsequently as Medical Directorship at Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital in Johnstown, Colorado.

 

Dr. Lanig is a Past President of the American Paraplegia Society (Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals).

Since returning from a pre-planned Radical Sabbatical of international travel and recalibration, Dr. Lanig remains clinically engaged as a Spinal Cord Injury Medical Director for Paradigm Outcomes Inc. Dr. Lanig, in her consultant practice partners with healthcare decisionmakers and industry collaborators to bridge gaps between awareness and action. Consequently, her abilities to lead, facilitate, and consult are the cornerstone of her untiring efforts to make a difference.

 

Her book, Mindset to Metrics - The Physician’s Guide to Nailing What Matters in Your Quadruple Aim is scheduled to be released in early 2018. She is a member of the National Institute of Health’s National Advisory Board for Medical Rehabilitation and Research.
